Our vision

Fyrtårn Tommerup’s vision is to serve as a large, multifunctional sports & cultural centre that, all year round, offers people of all ages the best opportunities to come together and feel motivated to live an active, modern everyday life with sport, physical activity and wellbeing at the heart of it.

With its unique combination of—and synergy between—sport, nature, accommodation and the library, Fyrtårn Tommerup will be the community’s preferred place to be and be active. With its dynamism, Fyrtårn Tommerup should also be experienced as a strong icon in and for Tommerup—locally, regionally and nationally.

As a multifunctional centre, Fyrtårn Tommerup should primarily be known as the gathering place for any local resident who—whether in organised, self-organised or informal settings—wants an active everyday life, culturally, mentally or through sport.

COLLABORATION, RESPONSIVENESS AND COMMITMENT

We want to create a centre that, through appreciative collaboration, is run by and attracts a strong, large team of dedicated employees, volunteer association enthusiasts and other staff. In their interactions with people—whether everyday users or visiting guests—the team behind Fyrtårn Tommerup always starts from responsiveness, commitment and a positive outlook on life that is understanding and welcoming, and that supports the building of communities and users’ activity.

All users of the centre, regardless of age, interests, education or disability, should feel valued and welcome.

MAIN GOALS

Our vision means the following main goals for Fyrtårn Tommerup:

  • Fyrtårn Tommerup will put the user at the centre
  • Fyrtårn Tommerup will be the community’s preferred recreational place to be and be active
  • Fyrtårn Tommerup will be characterised by visibility/accessibility
  • Fyrtårn Tommerup will be development-oriented
  • Fyrtårn Tommerup will have sustainable operations

THE USER AT THE CENTRE

In our service, facilities, partnerships, etc., we must continually strive to meet users’ different requirements and needs, and continuously work to give the centre’s users and stakeholders the best opportunities and settings for a high-quality, flexible offering.
Everyday users are the primary core of the centre’s operations and development, which is reflected in a future-proof organisation that benefits all interest groups.

THE COMMUNITY’S PREFERRED RECREATIONAL PLACE TO BE AND BE ACTIVE

We must be the place and shared point of reference that creates togetherness, joy and a sense of community, expressed around the clock through a wide range of activities, experiences and events that unfold in the centre’s many different spaces for sport, gathering, relaxation, immersion and entertainment.

VISIBILITY/ACCESSIBILITY

As a beacon in the municipality, we must communicate, act and be experienced as an icon for Tommerup, the municipality and the region, with a view to attracting more users and new residents.

DEVELOPMENT-ORIENTED

We must always focus on new trends, synergies, partners, etc., acting innovatively and daring to take new paths.
We must be the attractive centre that continually draws in qualified managers and employees who thrive, stay and develop in a positive, dynamic sports & cultural environment.

SUSTAINABLE OPERATIONS

Financially, we must always find a balance between commercial operations and consideration for users.
